For the 15th anniversary celebration of my favorite childhood game, I decided to recreate the logo in 3D. This personal project is using the industry standard workflow, consisting of modeling and unwrapping in 3DSMax, then texturing with Substance Painter and Photoshop before presenting in Marmoset. One issue I had was having rust and corner details during the texturing phase. I remedied this by extracting the corners from the reference image and applying them as a decal before using a Painter material for the rust. The text was also created in 3DSMax before being textured the same. This project also happened to be my first time using Marmoset which taught the usage of cameras, lights, and rendering with the viewer also being exported.
