For my summer personal project, I decided to model and texture weapons for a game-ready character from Castle Crashers. Going forth from my phone project, I used Miro to create a mood board from the characters and weapons in-game, to advertising, to other 3d renders.
I used 3dsMax to create the low poly weapons using a variety of techniques from bending the bow with modifiers to using independent objects to create the bumps in the mace. Texturing in Painter, I followed the references closely making sure that the sword was shiny whilst other weapons such as the shield and mace had cracks and dirt. For the Shield, I decided to stay true to the original source material and make different texture sets of different colours that matched the character (Blue, Red, Green, Yellow). I then presented these in marmoset alone and alongside the character.
